RE: HWH JACK PARTS

Is it the smaller kickdown cylinder that is leaking? Stacy

RE: Class C Leveling System

The price is too high and it don't take that long to install them either. Sounds like they don't want the work. Stacy

RE: HWH Pump

As long as there is a good ground for the pump and you have 12 volts. If you have both of those and it don't run then the motor needs repaired.

RE: leveling jacks

The system can pull power from both batteries. All of the HWH systems require the key to be in either the ACC or the IGN position. The pump however can be wired to the house or chassis batteries depending on who installed the system. What coach do you have I might be able to tell you. Stacy

RE: Replacing Hydraulic hoses

Caution, if the hoses for the slide are leaking and they have HWH02 St.Gobain labeled on them they are rated at 6000psi with a much higher burst pressure. HWH does supply the hoses you need. If you call they can help determine if you have the hoses that fell into the defective ones and will help locate a dealer to change them. The worst thing that will happen if someone not experienced with the slide mechanism changes the hoses and does not bleed the air out properly you can put your room in a h-ll of a bind. I've seen it happen and it can turn into a much bigger fix.

RE: Icey roads-who went 'off road' - 4 WD vehicles of course

Some people are just too stupid to slow down. You see it during every storm that just because they have a 4x4 that means you can follow the 70mph speed limit no matter what. I've owned a 4x4 ever since I started driving and have never been afraid or embarrassed to slow down when the roads are a gleaming sheet of ice. Most times on ice all 4 wheel drive means is when you hit the brakes is that all 4 tires skid, anti lock or not.

RE: HWH Levelers

There are 2 plates at the bottom of the of the bracket that hold the cylinder in place. Take the hose off and unplug the warning switch at the top of the jack. Remove the foot and springs, take the bottom 2 bolts off each side of the bracket. Loosen the top 2 bolts enough that you can spread the plates away from the main bracket and then the cylinder will drop out the bottom.

RE: Would you go back to this dealer?

I've gotten into the habit of taking pictures of any damage to the coach when it is dropped off at the shop, with customer knowledge. Of course we don't have many coaches that are dropped off and the customer don't stay around until we are done with them. Probably not the perfect solution but it works for us.

RE: May need to sell camper. Might leave the RV fold maybe.

When the wife and I bought our 19 acre dream lot we also had to sell out TT. We had good luck putting it on the Internet, I believe it only took 2 months to sell. You mention a 10% commission if you go consignment, if you try and sell it private you may end up with a little more coin in your pocket.

RE: Job

There is no way I'll quit without having another job. I've seen to many people do that with very poor results. School is something else I've been kicking around since I did not continue right after high school. That was one of those can't wait to be out moments.

RE: Job

Thanks for the replies. I guess a person just gets real fed up with fellow employees when it seems like they just don't use the gray matter in between their ears. As an example in this area we just received 12 inches of the wonderful white stuff, and I'm in charge of moving it. So I come early and start clearing areas to park for first shift. Now you would think if there is a spot with no snow you should park there, heck no, let's drive into a snow bank and get stuck. Then they decide to blame you because the snow wasn't moved from the spot they park in everyday. I know this sounds stupid but it is just one of things a person really gets fed up with. Just like another post said YA CAN'T FIX STUPID. Thanks for letting me rant, it does feel better getting it off your chest. HAVE A GREAT DAY

Job

Anyone ever been so fed up with their job that you wanted to tell the company to stuff it, but you weren't real sure what you wanted to do for your next career move. I have a multitude of skills from growing up on the farm and the education/job skills I've learned at my current job. I know others have been in this position and was just curios what you did and how you came to your decision.

RE: active air brand air bags

The HWH Active Air system ties into the existing air suspension on the motorhome. They add electronic height control valves for a quicker response when cornering or lane changing. If you want more information you can contact HWH at 1-800-321-3494.
